Definition: The Cost of Public Peering includes all of the monthly recurring and amortization costs required for peering, potentially including: (1) Transport - the cost of getting physical layer (layer 1 and 2) access into the Internet Exchange Point , (2) Colocation Fees - the cost of space and power in a physical space providing access to the peering fabric, (3) Power - power for any gear required for peering, and (4) Equipment Costs - any leasing or amortized monthly cost for equipment Graphic - the Cost of Internet Peering
